Who we are

SpexHive (spexhive.com) is an independent reference database for mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches, and a home for tech news. We publish full technical specifications, storage and memory options, benchmarks, price information where available, comparisons, and a steady stream of news, blog articles and reviews about devices and the industry around them.

SpexHive is built for people who want accurate details before they buy, switch or repair a device, and for anyone who wants to understand what a specification actually means in everyday use.

What you will find here

Device pages list every specification we hold for a device, grouped by category: launch information, body, display, platform, memory, cameras, sound, connectivity, battery, build and regulatory details. Where a device comes in several storage and memory configurations, each configuration is listed.

The Phone Finder lets you filter devices by features such as RAM, storage, battery size, screen size, camera resolution and release year. The Compare tool shows two devices side by side, row by row.

Brand pages list every device we hold for a manufacturer. Our tech news covers launches, announcements and industry developments. Our blog publishes articles, explainers and features, and the Reviews and Videos sections carry hands-on impressions and video coverage. We also cover leaks and rumours about upcoming devices, which we treat as unconfirmed until a manufacturer announces them. The Glossary explains the terms used across the site, and the Deals page links to current offers where we have them.

How our data is compiled

Our device data is compiled from publicly available sources, including third-party specification databases, manufacturer announcements and retailer listings. We combine and standardise this information, and we correct values we find to be wrong when we are told about them or when we check them ourselves.

Specifications can differ between regions, carriers and production runs, and manufacturers sometimes change details after launch. Where a value is uncertain, we aim to show what the source reports rather than guess. If something on a device page is wrong, please tell us through the Contact page.

Editorial and AI-assisted content

Articles on SpexHive are published under the SpexHive Editorial byline unless stated otherwise. Some articles are drafted with the help of automated tools. Where an article was created with AI assistance, the author is labelled as AI on the article page. Editorial staff review articles before they are published.

We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage. If a link on the site is an affiliate link, we say so on the page where the link appears.
