vivo X Fold6 Goes Global With a 200 MP Zeiss Camera and a Lighter Battery Than the China Model

vivo's foldable flagship has left China. The X Fold6 launched there back in late June, and vivo has now confirmed it is going global, bringing most of the hardware along with a few changes aimed at international markets. The phone uses a custom Dimensity 9500 chip that vivo says was co developed with MediaTek specifically for this device, something the company has not done before with its foldables.

The headline feature is still the camera. A 200 MP main sensor, tuned with Zeiss, sits at the center of the rear setup, a big step up from the 50 MP main camera on the previous vivo X Fold5. The telephoto also supports vivo's optional Zeiss branded teleconverter accessory for extra reach.

What changes for the global version

Two foldable displays make up the phone, an 8.02 inch inner screen and a 6.51 inch cover screen, both LTPO AMOLED panels running up to 120Hz. According to reports based on vivo's own regional listings, the global model's battery comes in slightly smaller than the Chinese version, at around 6,900 mAh compared to 7,000 mAh in China, though it keeps 80 W wired charging either way. Software also shifts for the trip overseas, with OriginOS 7 built on Android 17 replacing the China only OriginOS build.

Memory and storage reportedly vary a little by region too, with some listings pointing to 12 GB of RAM paired with 256 GB or 512 GB storage, and others suggesting a 16 GB option with up to 1 TB available in certain markets. vivo has said configurations and final pricing will be announced market by market rather than all at once, so what is available will likely differ depending on where you are.

Price and where it is landing

vivo has not published a single global price list. Early retailer listings in Europe put the phone at roughly 2,100 to 2,200 euros for a mid tier configuration, which would place it well above most other foldables on the market, closer to the most expensive versions of rival book style foldables. Those figures are coming from retailer listings rather than vivo's own pricing pages, so treat them as a rough guide rather than a final number.

As with most vivo global launches, do not expect a simultaneous worldwide rollout. vivo tends to stagger these releases by region over weeks or months, so availability in any specific country is worth checking directly with vivo's local site once it opens pre orders there.
