What the starting price includes
The $1,999 model includes 16GB of unified memory and the 12 core CPU and GPU. Apple does not list storage capacities for that model in its announcement. The announcement also gives no prices for other configurations and directs buyers to the MacBook Pro page on apple.com to configure a model. Before you order, check the price of a 32GB model and of any larger storage option there.
Some reports say the base model includes 1TB of storage and costs $300 more than the previous base model. Apple's announcement confirms neither figure, so check both before you buy.
Financing and trade in
- Apple Upgrade: a lease from $38.99 per month for 36 months in the United States, excluding taxes and trade in credit.
- Example: Apple's footnote shows $53.99 per month for 24 months on the $1,999 model.
- Apple Card Monthly Installments: 0 percent APR in the United States, with 3 percent Daily Cash.
- Trade in and education: Apple also lists Apple Trade In and year round education pricing.
Support options
Apple lists AppleCare+ and, in available markets, AppleCare One. In the United States, AppleCare One Family covers a Family Sharing group. Personal Setup offers guided, one on one online sessions with a Specialist.
Before you order
- Compare the configuration you need on the MacBook Pro page at apple.com, since the announcement gives only the starting price.
- Check the estimated arrival for your chosen configuration, because arrivals begin on November 6.
- Compare a lease or monthly installments with a full purchase, using the figures above.
