Two new flagships are competing for attention this month. The Motorola Signature 27 goes on global sale today, and Xiaomi has confirmed that its 18 Pro series will go global in November. Both use new Qualcomm flagship chips, but they are not the same chip, so the choice comes down to the screen, the camera and the extras.
Motorola Signature 27 or Xiaomi 18 Pro: How the Spec Sheets Compare
| Measure | Motorola Signature 27 | Xiaomi 18 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 |
| Display | 6.8 inch | 6.4 inch |
| Refresh rate | 165Hz | 120Hz |
| Memory | 12GB or 16GB | 12GB or 16GB |
| Storage | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB |
| Battery | 7000mAh | 7000mAh |
| Main camera (spec sheet) | 50MP | 200MP |
| Other lens | Press image shows 200MP, 100x super zoom | Not listed |
| Selfie camera | 50MP | 50MP |
| NFC | Yes | Yes |
Screen
The Signature 27 has the bigger and faster screen: 6.8 inches at 165Hz, against 6.4 inches at 120Hz. If you watch video or play fast games, that is the most visible difference between the two.
Camera
The Xiaomi 18 Pro lists a 200MP main camera. The Signature 27 spec sheet lists a 50MP main camera, but Motorola's press image marks one of its lenses as 200MP with 100x super zoom. A higher megapixel count does not make better photos on its own, since sensor size, lenses and processing matter too. Compare the main camera and zoom results once both phones are tested.
Battery and availability
Both spec sheets list a 7000mAh battery. Regional listings have reported 6000mAh for the 18 Pro, and Xiaomi has not confirmed the global figure, so check the battery once Xiaomi publishes its global specs. Motorola has not confirmed pricing or sales dates, and Xiaomi has not named countries or prices for the global launch.
Which should you pick?
Pick the Signature 27 if the bigger, faster screen matters most. Pick the Xiaomi 18 Pro if the main camera matters most. Read our Signature 27 review before deciding, and check the final prices in your market.
