Redmi K100 Set for a Late October Debut in China, With Several Details Unconfirmed
Update, October 27: The launch is today at 7 PM China time. Xiaomi has since confirmed a 10,000 mAh battery and 100 W wired charging, so those two figures are no longer only reported. The chip, memory, camera megapixel counts and price are still unconfirmed.
Update, October 26: Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi K100 launches in China on October 27 at 7 PM local time, and preorders have started in China. The other details below have not changed.
The standard Redmi K100 is expected to debut in China in the last days of October. Reports give October 27 or October 28 as the date. We have not found an official launch invitation that settles it, so check Xiaomi's channels before planning around either date.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max launched earlier this year, and the standard K100 is a separate model. The details below are reported from teaser material and roundups, not from a full specification sheet.
What is reported
Reports describe a 6.83 inch AMOLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip paired with a separate D2 chip, and HyperOS 4 software. A battery of 10,000 mAh is also reported. Charging speed has not been confirmed, and one listing gives 100 W wired charging while others only suggest it.
The camera is the least certain detail. The latest report says a teaser shows a 50 MP main camera, but another report says the camera has not been announced. Earlier leaks had claimed a 200 MP main camera, so treat the camera as unconfirmed until Xiaomi publishes it.

What to watch
The most important signal will be Xiaomi's official launch page, which should give the date, the full specifications and the price together. Until then, the price estimate is a tipster's figure and should not be treated as a launch price. The Redmi K100 Pro, which launched earlier, has a reported China price of about 3,699 yuan, so comparing against it gives a rough sense of where the standard model may sit.
