This is a review based on the specifications, not on hands on testing. We have not used the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ ourselves, so the verdict is about what the spec sheet shows. We will test it properly once we have a review unit, and update this piece then.
Galaxy Tab S12+ Review: What the Spec Sheet Says
The key specifications
The Tab S12+ has a 12.6 inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip with 12 GB of RAM, and storage starts at 256 GB and goes up to 512 GB. The battery is rated at 10,600 mAh, and the rear camera is a 13 MP sensor.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Display | 12.6 inch, 120 Hz |
| Chip | MediaTek Dimensity 9500 |
| Memory | 12 GB RAM |
| Storage | 256 GB or 512 GB |
| Battery | 10,600 mAh |
| Rear camera | 13 MP |
What stands out
A 12.6 inch screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate is a strong combination for reading, video and drawing. The 10,600 mAh battery is large for a device of this size, and the Dimensity 9500 chip should keep everyday tasks smooth.
Where it compromises
There is only one memory option, 12 GB, and the storage tops out at 512 GB, so heavy users may want the larger Ultra model instead. The 13 MP rear camera is modest, but tablets are rarely used for photography, so it matters less here than it would on a phone.
Verdict from the specifications
On paper, the Tab S12+ is a sensible choice for streaming, notes and light creative work, with a long battery and a fast screen. If you need the most storage or the largest display, the Ultra version is the better fit. We will update this review after hands on testing.
