This is a review based on the specifications and the test results listed on the spec sheet, not on hands on testing. We have not used the vivo X Fold5 ourselves, so this piece looks at what the numbers show. We will test it properly and update this piece if a review unit becomes available.

Where it looks strong
The 80 W wired charging is fast for a foldable. The 120 Hz refresh rate applies to both screens, and the cover display lists 5,500 nits of peak brightness. The three 50 MP rear cameras give the phone a main lens, a 3x periscope telephoto and an ultrawide option, and the spec sheet lists Zeiss optics on the rear.
Where it asks for a compromise
The 6,000 mAh battery is modest for a phone with a screen this large, and the phone has no memory card slot, so the storage you pick is the storage you keep. The chip is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is older than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 used in the Redmi K100 Pro line. The test results on the spec sheet show a GeekBench 6 score of 6,483 and an AnTuTu score of 1,883,303, which give a benchmark to compare with newer chips. The same test results measured 1,916 nits of maximum brightness, well below the 4,500 nit peak in the listed specifications, so treat the peak figure as a best case.
Verdict from the specifications
On paper, the X Fold5 is a well equipped foldable with a large 120 Hz display, fast wired charging and three 50 MP rear cameras. Its older chip and smaller battery are the main reasons to compare it with newer foldables first. Check which storage options your market offers, since the 256 GB model comes with 12 GB of RAM. We will update this review after hands on testing.
